Alpha Phi Omega

Alpha Phi Omega is a national service fraternity built on the pillars of leadership, friendship, and service. I have been a proud member of APO for the duration of my college career and was proud to accept the Friend of the Year award for our region.

The achievement that I am most proud of from my tenure was bringing in the largest recruitment class our chapter has seen in 9+ recruitment seasons. I was very happy to initiate 20 new members, nearly doubling our chapter's size. I am so thankful to everyone who stepped up to mentor the new members and to the new members for putting in the time to be a part of our organization.

Duties of Recruitment Chair

Coordinate with other officers to design and order shirts, posters, and other materials
Budget for events
Reserve event spaces, conduct set up & clean up, and ensure accessibility
Plan events
Motivate chapter members to participate and enjoy the season
Problem solve for unexpected challenges
Create presentations, learning plans, and final test for New Member Education
Run New Member Education Meetings
Serve as mentor to new members

Previous to serving as the recruitment chair, I served as the historian and PR chair. I was able to increase our following by 64% through increased engagement and themed posting. I continued to assist later historians in content creation.
